Marketplace listings differ by location, time and customer, so we review what is actually visible to us and say so plainly.
How your prices are set out, where the value steps sit and whether the listing reads as coherently priced.
How the range is organised and merchandised, and whether the commercially important items are easy to find.
The offers shown on the listing at the time we look, and how they position you against comparable listings.
Where ratings and recent review themes are publicly visible, we read them for recurring commercial signals.
Imagery, descriptions, item coverage and the trading hours shown on the listing when we view it.
Where genuinely comparable public listings are available in your area, we look at how you sit against them.
Only signals actually shown on the listing. Elements such as fees, radius and availability can vary by location, time and customer, so we only comment on what we can see.
What it cannot tell you
A public listing review cannot tell us your actual profit. We cannot see your food cost, contracted commission rate, operator-funded promotion split, advertising spend or internal operating costs from a public listing. The estimate is labelled as an estimate and identifies what needs validating.
Every review follows the same method. The categories below are the framework we work through, not a promise that each one will produce a finding — that depends on what is publicly visible on your listing when we look.
Finding 1
Pricing / value architecture
How the listing is priced and structured, and where that could be costing or protecting margin.
Finding 2
Promotions / margin risk
The visible offer position and where it looks likely to be eroding contribution rather than building it.
Finding 3
Menu / marketplace presentation
Range, merchandising and presentation issues that affect conversion or basket value.
Estimate
Estimated opportunity or risk — clearly labelled estimate
One commercial estimate, stated as an estimate, with the assumptions it depends on written down.
Validation
What we would need to validate it
Exactly which of your own figures would confirm or disprove the estimate — usually your marketplace exports and cost assumptions.
